“Fresh Air”
Sustainable environmental design in the regions around the RS1 Cycle Motorway in Germany. In the Unna Königsborn area, the places on the side of the bike path were restored as social structures, and new buildings were constructed. Building functions have been arranged so that people can meet all their needs within a fifteen-minute transportation distance in the region, and the carbon footprint is desired to be reduced. While the structure in the industrial area gained a new function with a restaurant with a greenhouse, the region’s food production needs were met at a close distance.
